ExxonMobil Compressors and Pumps
Here’s a few scenes from a series of equipment training projects I worked on for ExxonMobil (EM). My role was as the multimedia developer within a larger team that was tasked with recreating all of the intro-level eLearning courses for new field technicians. The templates closely adhered to the EM brand standards. For this project I built the courses in Storyline 360, created the custom animations/videos, and created the technical illustrations along with a team of other developers.
Intro to Compressors
This video includes a few scenes from the Intro To Compressors course. Our learners were primarily aged 18-21 and globally distributed. Most of them were fairly new to the Oil and Gas industry. That said, we made a strong effort to simplify technical concepts to appeal to new employees who are just learning the ropes. Hence we try to explain the concepts of compression using an air horn as an example
Pumps
This scene contains a few more examples of how we built scenarios in Storyline. This one includes an interactive slider graphic to give students the opportunity to view equipment in a more gamified experience.
